I'll believe it when it happens. The thing is the NHS has never really been geared towards accepting payments even from those who want and expect to pay such as Americans who've been treated in hospital here whilst on holiday for example. In other parts of Europe it's for more usual to have to pay so the mechanisms for so doing are well established.

So far as the NHS being abused, it's been going on for years and it'll continue.
