We had BT Internet at work a few years ago and I would tend to agree with what you are saying.

LOL, yes I just read that. The roll out schedule in Spiderplant's link is quite useful, much better than the information readily available from BT.

This might help, search for your exchange by postcode, click on the exchange name and check your FTTC status under BT Wholesale Information.
