It looks like BT will have Infinity rolled out accross their whole network by the time BT Sports launches in August. My local exchange is enabled at the end of this month. The BT website suggests i'll be able to get 70mb down, 20mb up. These are great speeds with no limits, shaping or restrictions. I noted many parts of the UK won't be enabled until June. I think BT will be very noisy in July and August pushing deals for Infinity, You View and BT Sports. I think both Virgin and SKY will be watching carefully.

Once Infinity is rolled out will BT's fibre be the fastest truly unrestricted non-commercial broadband service in the UK? I honestly don't know the answer as I don't really follow broadband news.
