Actually it's been a long time since I compared L to XL. Have to agree that if ESPN drops out of XL in the summer, XL's main selling point is HD. Minus the HD channels, below is a full list of channels that are on XL but not L.

Liverpool FC TV
Motors TV
Watch+1
Alibi+1
Comedy Central+1
CBS Reality
CBS Drama
Horror Channel
FOX
DMAX+1
Comedy Central Extra
Disney XD
Disney XD+1
Nick+1
Nick Junior
Nick Jnr 2
Disney Channel
Disney Channel+1
Disney Junior
Boomerang+1
Cartoon Network
Discovery Travel & Living
Good Food +1
Discovery Home & Health +1
Discovery Turbo
National Geographic Wild
National Geographic
National Geographic+1
History
Military History
Crime & Investigation Network
Bio
Eden+1
Animal Planet+1
Discovery Science+1
Discovery History+1
MTV Rocks
MTV Dance
TV5

So that's a difference of 39 channels. 10 of the channels are for kids, 11 of the channels are +1, 2 of the channels are free to air on Freesat and 1 is foreign.

If you aren't subscribing to XL for HD, or ESPN which is likely to leave the package in the summer, what are you subscribing to it for? I admit it's great for kids programming and offers up a more varied documentary choice however beyond that it's not exactly a collection of WOW channels. Is it really worth the extra money?

It's definitely becoming Virgins HD package.
