There's only about 250gb for personal recording the rest is for on demand.

The 250GB personal space still provides the same HD recording capacity (60hrs) as the TIVO 500GB as it uses mpeg 4 , I agree with you about the schedule management the Sky box needs it , as a workaround I schedule all my recordings via the Sky+ app on ipad as this automatically alerts you too clashes and provides an alternative airing. Clash management has been suggested many times in the beta forum as has an improved search function (TIVOs is excellent) however rest assured there are a couple of new things due in the not too distant future
and 4oD should be added real soon completing the catchup section.
