It's those who are in charge of cricket and rubgy TV rights who choose to sell their TV rights to the likes of SKY, BT and Premier Sports. They will fully understand that the sport is being put behind an expensive pay wall. Clearly those in charge of cricket and rugby value TV money ahead of TV viewers.

They could always break away and start their own dedicated channel like Boxnation did for boxing.
