There are some horrific stories out there but, my friend was recently contacted by phone but unable to speak to the assessor, he had filled the form in beforehand. His wife said he wasn't fit enough to speak on the phone that day.

He was not called for an interview. Several weeks later he received a letter saying his benefit will remain the same, & he is not required to attend any work related interviews.
