I was looking at Sky as well, but for a lesser package than I currently pay with VM costs a lot more. Talk Talk Fibre and YouView seems to be the way forward for us. I also notice Sky don't allow the use of anything but their own router.
I have emailed cablemystreet@virginmedia.co.uk. My new hosue is a new build Barratt Home and is on a street that is cabled although Barratt never saw the sense to get VM in to do the new build. Our neighbours outside the development can get VM. It's a long shot but worth an email! |
Many people have had success negotiating good deals with Sky by phoning them however I suppose that wouldn't help you with the router issue , I'm not sure whether currently you can record the linear channels with Talk Talk so that may be worth checking out , hope you get sorted whatever you choose.
