It makes sense if they cannot sell it, cost effective too as the HD infrastructure is already in place and there will be no rights issues.

Cloud PVRs are the future. One would hope that any long-term content deals that VM are considering/signing would take that into account. We don't want another MRS-style scenario where only a handful of channels can be recorded into the cloud.

Indeed, we may see VM owning some of it's own channels again under the ownership of LGI.
