I know, I was just pointing out making the drive removable doesn't help. In fact it makes your chances of losing content are slightly higher as there is more hardaware to go wrong (plus the risk of kids pulling out the drive and losing/dropping/smearing with marmite etc)

Would you really want a shelf-full of unplayable DVDs? Losing a hard drive is bad enough.
