Re: Using a personal DTR with a V HD box.

The other alternative to a DTR is to buy a DVD recorder or combined HDD/DVD recorder. The majority of these have Scart inputs that will record from a VHD. It's what I used to use before I had the V+, and still use to archive programmes. These have Freeview (some have Freesat) built in, so you can record Freeview/Freesat while you watch a cable channel, and if you have a Freeview tuner on the TV, vice-versa.
