Two happy thoughts today.
a) received my contract for my new job (it's not real until you have the signed paperwork) - countersigned, scanned, and emailed, with hard copy following in the post
b) my wife and I are off to New York / New Jersey / Pennsylvania next week for eight days, doing a bit of tourism for three days in Manhattan, then visiting relatives in NJ/Penn - I have used Air Miles / Avios points I have been saving up to upgrade us to BA Business Class (there and back); it will be a nice surprise for my wife (I am not going to tell her until we get on the plane).
