Well hammers & baseball bat killed more people in USA than fire arms.. matt look up the figure in the FBI web site, crime figures > then you'll see fire arm are 11th in cause of deaths. An tool can be a weapon may it be a spanner, wrench, handles etc I hope you get the picture.... firearms are for hunting too if you in the wild or live remotely in sticks too... deer rut season in scotland comes to mind, game shooting etc.
People kill people not firearms, a little hint a firearm has trigger, that has to be pulled for it to fire... maybe a human finger? perhaps...
