I would deem 13/14/15/16 as teenage years but obviously it would depend on the circumstances, the parents trust in their child, and how knowledge they perceive their child to be on these matters. They should teach them and warm them but it cannot be healthy for a teenager of those ages not to have some privacy. They'll be talking to their friends, their crushes, their boyfriends/girlfriends and they'll be growing up. There is nothing wrong with some independence there.

There is if they are targeted by perverts and what price privacy then.The problem with teens is that they think they can handle anything and anyone until they come up against adults who know how to manipulate the inexperienced.
