What it highlights to me is that all TV providers are clearly overcharging for their content. I wonder how low SKY, and Virgin via retentions, could actually go?

True however after 12 months they will be free to move to another provider. What I've learned so far from Digital Spy and SKY User Forum is SKY will bend over backwards to keep you, if you don't try and take the ****. If you call SKY at the end of 12 months advising you can't afford the full price and want to leave, SKY won't keep your deal rebated at 75%, but might offer you 50% for 6 months with the remaining 6 months at full price.

Sky World (All channels inc Sports and Movies) Excluding HD is £13.87 a month on a 12 month contract. People have posted in this thread they've had around £13.00 per month worth of price increases from Virgin in the past 10 months alone. It's going to be interesting to see what offers SKY and Virgin are offering in the summer when BT step up. Should be a great time for consumers.
