Wengers got a decent budget to work with. In 2008 we were short of a player or two. Wenger insisted on not buying and continued with his own vision. We're now in a state of decline. Players are not performing and our stature has downgraded. The attitude has changed. Wenger doesn't lay into players, this has been confirmed even by the greats of yesterday. Whether or not Theo listens or not isn't exactly a big deal. Theres loads of players that don't listen at Arsenal. Look at the amount of players not playing but taking home a wage.

Not sure Guardiola is the right man though, I think we (lapsing back into my Arsenal fan here) need someone more like Ferguson or Redknapp. Someone who can get the best out of players. Before their recent loss of form, I would have suggested Alan Pardew for the job.
Pep does get the best out of players. Remember Barca needed a fine tuning before he went in. He done it. Yes he spent a vast amount and had incredibly gifted players to work with but don't take away the fact he had to work it, he had to make great things happen. Alan Pardew? no thanks. Hes suited to Newcastle.
