I never said it was completed the OP did but by ringing up they put themselves into a new contract which if within the 7 days can be reversed quite easily and I would advise them to ring up and cancel that upgrade and to accept the free version without a contract.
I think you will agree ringing up and cancelling is by far the best way to go.
