You pay a subscription for channels, and yet those channels carry adverts.

Also TiVo already has adverts and has done for a while now
Fast forward button is your friend.
Hence why I record any non BBC channel I wish to watch. Even if only starting to watch 15 minutes or so in. As for the bar - totally wasted on me trained my eyes to ignore it. If it brings in money & therefore helps keep prices down bring it on.However it will be wasted on me
