The saga continues, yes Ferretuk, re power off, I have done a hard reset on TV by powering off until the power light goes, then plugging again. I also followed Toshiba's instruction to power off before fitting or removing the wireless adaptor.
I ran a cable to the TV. In auto setup it correctly displays the IP address, Default Gateway and Subnet Mask. I go to 'Test Connection' and it says Unable to connect, please check you network settings"
. The router's connected devices list does not display the TV Mac Address.
The same cable plugged to my laptop quickly produces the laptop's MAc on the router's list.
When the cable is plugged to the TV, I can hear the signal every 2 or 3 secs coming slightly through the audio, so, it is receiving and it gets the Gateway address etc as above.
There is either some basic setting I have to make TV or on the router, which I can not find anywhere, it is faulty. As it is not even connecting by cable, I did not try disabling the router's encryption as Ferretuk suggested.
