Does this happen in modem mode? It might be difficult for you to chack if you don't have a router or need to connect more than one device; but the SH is not a stable device in router mode.

That said, is your upstream power stable at 42.5 or does it move upwards toward 55 dBmv? Because that owuld explain what you are seeing. Upstream impairment.
