What is interesting is that the exit polls are showing a democratic lean in how voters identify themselves. This is important because the Republican contention was that the public polls that had Obama ahead were underestimating the Republican turnout and overestimating the Democratic turnout. We're not seeing that in the exit polls or the initial results...

It's early so they may well prove correct but at the moment there isn't anything to contradict the public polling.
