Yep definitely worth keeping in the air!

Shame they can't do the same with Concorde, some of it is to do with fact Concorde was supersonic.

The real crime is though that I read a while back a team of ex Concorde engineers actually got most of the electrics up and running and restored the hydraulic systems on the Manchester Concorde. Because they found the hydraulics hadn't been drained completely which preserved it.

The airport initially supported it, then 1 day out of the blue pulled the plug and said stopped it all on the grounds of health and safety before ordering them to drain the hydraulics which effectively wrote the aircraft off in terms of future restoration as it was just luck it wasn't completely drained the first time.

Shame, but I'm guessing there was more to it than just health and safety and bet BA had a hand in it when they got word.
