I doubt it would be much of a surprise.

The fact that the iPhone 5's "4G" (LTE) will only work in the UK with EE (& eventually Three, in a year) has been very widely publicised.


If only a certain network had not wasted so much time taking legal action against Ofcom to delay the 4G auction, the UK may have actually had 4G by now, and Apple would have given us an iPhone that used well developed bands...
