So, it's official:
iPhone 5

http://www.apple.com/iphone/compare-iphones/
- 4" 1136-by-640-pixel "Retina" display (326 ppi, 16:9 aspect ratio)
- Thinner and lighter than the 4S
- WiFi a/b/g/n (with dual-band n)
- HSPA, HSPA+, DC-HSDPA...
and LTE ("4G"). It will work with Everything Everywhere's LTE in the UK.
- "Apple A6" system-on-a-chip, which is "twice as fast" as the dual-core "A5" used in the iPhone 4S... suggesting it's probably been bumped to a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU and quad-core PowerVR SGX543 GPU (Apple never gives details, so we'll have to wait for iFixit to do a teardown).
- Improved cameras
- Smaller "Lightning" connector.
- Nano-SIM
Pre-orders start on Friday the 14th of September, and the release date is Friday the 21st of September.

iOS6 is released for other iOS devices on Wednesday the 19th of September.
