Roger Charlton is confident Bated Breath will show his true colours in the Betfred Sprint Cup at Haydock on Saturday.

The five-year-old entire has been beaten less than a length in four Group One races, and shattered Haydock's five-furlong course record in the Temple Stakes earlier this season.

"The ground looks like it should be in his favour, which is helpful. He's run four times at Haydock, won three times, and was beaten a nose on the other start, so hopefully he has a big chance," said Charlton.
