No. All they have said are "we are doubling your speed and this is when we expect it to happen". Nothing more, nothing less. No "convincing" or anything.

However to give an on line checker stating a certain time scale, then not delivering and putting it back over 6 months, is misleading.

And, as I have said before, VM don't have a crystal ball or sooth-sayer so whilst the time-scale given was correct at the time, it was always subject to change. Unless there was some small-print somewhere that I missed stating that the dates given were guaranteed?

If they knew my area was going to be one of the last why tell me porkies. Yes the whole process may take 18 months, so why didn't they email me this fact.

This was clearly stated, certainly in the Press Release. I can't remember the exact email but I'm sure it probably was mentioned somewhere. (In the small print, maybe?)

ie. you will be getting an increase in speed some when 18 months from this email, not send me to a checker site stating that it would be 6 months, and then when this time period expires I check again and lo and behold they have moved the goalposts!!!

I'm also sure that the checker also stated that the date given was "just a guide" or "approximate" or something. (Again, it's been a while since I used it.)
