Can't agree with you on that, Mobes. The whole point of the TIVO is the features it has to offer.
I agree that it is a bit slow to change channels (that is, it's not instant, but you get a slight pause) but that is only a nuisance if you are a channel hopper. Nothing else is slow on the box that I have noticed, and I find programmes I want to watch through the EPG, which is very fast.
The V+ was slower than the TIVO and I have no regrets at all from changing - I would never want to go back or swap with a Sky box. There's just no comparison.
