You really are being decidedly obtuse on this one. Nobody has said replace all the working modems either - only those that fail which would happen anyway.

As you haven't replied to any of my earlier responses on this I suspect you must have reciprocated my ignore of you which I removed a while back when some quotes of your comments suggested your posts may be worth reading again. Obviously I was wrong in that...
