We'll see. It doesn't make too much sense. First of all why would United pay £20 million on a 29 year old player with injury problems when it doesn't address a key squad weakness? It's unusual for United to so publicly chase a player and risk tapping up charges from UEFA.
There is a suspicion that they were doing this because their IPO was today (and hasn't started well). |
