You know what you're right, as we speak there are probably armies of economists, lawyers and bankers producing reports on how the games will turn out to be profitable in time, completely ignoring that they could've been more profitable if we hadn't been taken for such a ride at the start.

There was considerable benefit and 'worth' to be had from the experience itself the enhanced image of the UK, the idea of more kids taking up sport and the increased confidence that we can do something as big as the Olympics well. That last one is huge.
The last one would've been huge but I fear the opportunity has gone for that, sure Dave is making noise now but it's to late, every day that passes the bounce decreases.
