Thanks qas, so are you saying cat 5 (STP) may be advantageous in my situation.

Re: Cat 6, I've only ever seen the shielded stuff and weve got some fitters in work running some data points in, so I was thinking of asking them to make me up a couple of cat 6 cables just for the hell of it.
