To Answer your Draytek questions ....

If you take the 5 (or more) static IP optiosn you would assign one to the Virgin Superhub. The remainder can be assigned to your Draytek router.

A way to do this is to configure your servers on a 'DMZ' on the Draytek and then have it configured with static one to one NAT mappings from your public range to your private addresses for the servers.

Yes the Draytek WAN port woudl also have it's own public routable IP address from your range.

In static subnet mode both NAT & most Firewall features on the superhub are greyed out and inactive. Use the Draytek to act as your firewall.


Also the Draytek (or other device) would then act as your DHCP server, not the superhub, as it would purely connect to the Draytek.

What you have described is simialar to my setup, except instead of a Draytek I am using a Cisco 892W. It works well.


Out of interest - if you got told no new installs from sales - how was it engineers turned up? I heard the policy now was they would install for large corporates and public sector customers, but not SMEs
