Btw, I think the 615 has got 100mbit ports so dont cry if you dont hit 100mbit exactly because you have got to allow for other stuff as well. In long term you want to be looking at a router (not the shub) with gigabit ports.

10db attenuator finally arrived today!
Tried a few torrent downloads from private sites semi stable at around 40-50mb but not being able to get any higher.
speedtest.net reckons I have a 15-20mb connection using various london servers.
Downstream power levels are now:
Power Level
(dBmV) -0.92 -0.07 -0.41 -0.79
Tried various ethernet cables (5e) all under 1 metre long but same speeds. Even tried vmng300 only with no further success.
Tried both a laptop and a desktop pc both with gigabit cards.
Not sure what else to do now? downgrade to 60mb?
