I didn't mean to imply that equipment sourced from 'other' suppliers would work - in fact I thought my advice about contacting VM to ask was sensible advice.
The comment about and link to Not The Nine O'Clock News sketch was a lighthearted way of asking if this forum was the correct place to ask such a question.
Anyway, I hope this clears up any confusion.
