Re: Samsung Blu-Ray player won't connect?

the devices (laptops, mobile phones etc) which connect to the shub or any other router wirelessly obtain their info by dhcp (dynamic host configuration protocol). This is a way for routers to dynamically assign lots of network stuff to devices automatically without you having to configure them on each device manually.

The username and password on the back of the shub are the credentials you enter on the shub login page (http:192.168.0.1) to authenticate yourself and access the GUI. From there you can setup your wireless network and configure the SSID and more importantly your password. You can then tell your blu ray player to scan for wireless networks, picks your up, enter your password and all the info it needs for ip, default gateway etc etc should be sent automatically.

If you have any problems with your wireless keep dropping out (which I am sure you will) use a wired connection. You can get a 20m cat5e cable for a few £ and tack it round the wall.
