I have never stated I use it in modem mode. Its been in router mode since the day I installed it myself as part of beta testing and the only reason I got a new one was due to moving house and no longer having that test account.

However both the current one and previous one have ran perfectly, no dropped wifi or wired connections at all. Decent wifi signal all round my 4 bedroom 1960s terrace home and my 2 bed early 1900s tennement flat. Both with solid think walls.

But as you say opinions count for nothing and therefor whatever anyone thinks is wrong.
