It's only applicable to 300Mbps WiFi and is greyed out in the advanced wireless radio settings if not on 300.

This option uses channel expansion (40MHz) to achieve the optimum wireless data throughput rate; however it will impair wireless range/coverage. When this option is selected the Super Hub will use the selected primary channel (20MHz) and expand to a secondary channel (20MHz) to achieve 40 MHz frame-byframe bandwidth. With OBSS enabled, the Super Hub will automatically monitor channel usage and disable frame-by-frame expansion (i.e. drop to 20MHz) if the expansion would result in interference with the data transmission of other wireless networks in your vicinity.
