I noticed the same, latency has got alot better but my speeds have really dropped. I would hate to buy another router when the hub was working so well before. But if I do is there any that are recommended?

It's worth getting a copy of inSSIDer so you can actually locate some free WiFi bandwidth.
As mentioned in my original post I worked through the 3 speed tiers with no increase in performance. The 54 was actually slower

Thanks for the info about inSSIDer, seems to have a similar purpose to netstumbler?

Been chatting with my neighbour this morning who has allowed me to access his wifi for testing and I get very good speeds. I think this rules out the WiFi performance on my PC side having degraded.

The problem is my WiFI setup has been working very well since it was installed months ago, newsgroup speeds would consistantly be over 80meg. But since the R36 upgrade the speeds have dropped to 10% of that.

Do you think the R36 have caused a fault with the hub?

The driver on my PC wifi is unchanged and as mentioned above my WiFi gets great speeds when connected to other access points.

Its a shame that its not possible to rollback the hub firmware to determin if its a hardware fault that has developed around the time of the firmware upgrade or if the firmware has indeed degraded the wifi performance.
