Re: Using 3 tuners when only 2 needed

Its the way TiVo has always worked. Its annoying to be honest but something that has been mentioned before to see if it could be changed.

It starts recording film 1 on tuner 1, then when the 3rd film is due to start tuner 2 starts recording that, then Tuner 3 starts recording the 3rd film and then tuner 1 stops recording after film 1 finishes.

Common sense you would think it would just continue recording on tuner 1 but split the recording for film 2, however I believe its the way that the coding has been done and the way TiVo stores the recordings that its not possible to do that.
