Re: Splitting signal from 1 LNB to two receivers?

Hi
Sorry to reactivate this question.
I have a sat box ( bush unfortunately) that requires two inputs to carry out a timer record. The builder of my house cemented the co ax in and we cannot run a separate feed.
Two questions
could I use the lnb shown on this thread and then this
http://www.maplin.co.uk/2-way-satellite-splitter-9273
I am not technically minded but have read one output is minus one is positive.

or could I use the splitter to fool the recorder by connecting it to receiver one and two I do not mind that I couldnt record one and watch another just to use the timer record.

Thankyou
