Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Hi Jempalmer, My personnel view is if you are paying for a service, then you should get it if you have a problem then it should be sorted.
If you have a problem on your car, you take it to a garage don't you.
I have had FIVE engineers out to fix the same fault, customer services phoned today, and the latest is that our box could be too far away from the main box - yet we have had cable for a long time.
Also TWO engineers have said we have OLD cable, but no one has changed it, and yes l have sent an email to the CEO and they have tried to help, but you won't get them coming out will you, On Monday they have told me a senior manager will call us.
I spoke with a VM Network Engineer on Friday, and he told me that it could be that the TiVo needs a stronger cable, and if my existing cable was fitted more than five years ago, then it won't be suitable for a TiVo box and needs a new one - its a different power cable, and old cable has a different power source to the ones fitted today - any clues
And this has happened to my mother - in - law, and she has had a booster box fitted.
