You need to use the factory- bin file if you are still using the original TP-Link firmware the other version is if you already have DD-WRT installed you use the web flash version to upgrade to the newer version of DD-WRT.

Thanks Jumping, I'd forgotten about starting it thru th TP Link interface, good idea, yeh, I've read about the factory to dd-wrt bin file, then the matching dd-wrt f/w, I'll try that ASAP, just reading up on 30/30/30 reset n this telnet thing, did you have to do that ?
