HANAGAN HOPING FOR WEEKEND RETURN.

Quote:
Dual champion jockey Paul Hanagan could be back in action by the end of the week after escaping serious injury in a fall at Newmarket on Saturday.

Hanagan came down in the £150,000 Tattersalls Millions 3-Y-O Cup when riding No Dominion, who clipped heels with the Richard Hughes-ridden Viewpoint.

He was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge for X-rays on his arm and leg, but both came back clear and he is just severely bruised.

Hanagan's agent Richard Hale said: "I haven't bothered him this morning, but I'd imagine he's pretty stiff and sore.
