No, two different networks i'm afraid.

Virgin have their own fibre backbone and run all their own cabinets the same way as BT do, only BT's network is open to other ISP's like Eclipse, Talk Talk, Sky etc etc, Virgin's isn't, thank god, because it would be even worse than it is now.

ADSL with fastpath is going to be the best bet for you with latency.
