What do you expect from a mid west modern day Sheriff show??? Laser fights and gruesome alien abductions

Personally I thought that it set up some of the characters up quite well, the story basis was good and I can see lots of storyline being created with some real development of those characters..
It got a thumbup from me, but then again I don't expect all modern day shows to be purely action based like most people do..
