no. if you can just about get your head around the factory software you'll just go loopy with the advanced DD WRT. I'm not ashamed to say it did my heading at first too so you know, if it aint broke don't try fix it.

your speeds, im not sure mate. tell us what your set ups like including PC specs and whatever else is connected trying to max out (specs of those devices too)
