Re: Advice on changing service provider with old phone

If they've been unused for a year, the battery may no longer be recognised as usable.
If the SIM has been expired, the phone should still start, but will not get a network.

If you insert a new PAYG SIM, then it should work (if unlocked) or show whatever the phone does for simlock error
