UKTV strikes deal to air 350 hours of C4 content.

UKTV is to take over from Discovery as Channel 4’s secondary rights partner for factual and lifestyle content, after signing a 350-hour deal.


The multi-year, multi-million pound agreement for programmes made by 16 indies will see the likes of Embarrassing Bodies, One Born Every Minute, A Place in the Sun and River Cottage air across UKTV’s portfolio of pay and free-to-air channels for the first time.

Home, Good Food, Really and Yesterday are being lined up as homes for the bulk of the shows in what is billed by commercial executive director Keith Porritt as a clear sign that UKTV is “coming of age again”.
