My technet licence states this.

It authorises me to download software from the technet site. I am also allowed to keep the iso's on my own storage space as long as its not publically accessible.

Thats pretty much it really in terms of downloading, what I do know is that some web sites hosting the clean ISO's (no cracks etc.) which would of course require a key to work past 30 days were told to take down the images.
