TIVO no record button working

2 days ago Tivo box select record program press record button nothing happened , next day before tedious chat with india i tried it all worked . this Eve just tried to use it no Record button working. Record works by selecting
record series . Was told by a friend this is a known thing caused by updates
have tried reset pull plug and wait no change any offers before i dial India
